An Introduction to our new range of hop products

I am delighted to be able to tell you about the addition to our portfolio of a range of high quality hop products.
Some of these are already in the market but until now beyond our reach or capability. Some, however, are highly innovative and we believe these will be a revelation to the brewing fraternity.
The first additions to our range will be downstream bittering products. Our range will include conventional bittering via the isomerised kettle extract route. Often referred to as IKE, this product is added to the brew kettle during the boil and gives improved utilisation of the bittering alpha acids. We will also be able to supply post-fermentation bittering products. This range of isomerised products, commonly referred to in the market as Iso, Rho and Tetra, have been developed from the separation, purification and standardisation of the alpha acids, and are designed to optimise the bittering function. These products are well established and accepted by brewers worldwide. They are excellent for the adjustment of bitterness, light protection and foam enhancement.
I am pleased to announce that Charles Faram has formed an association with a natural product processor to deliver a range of hop aroma and flavour products. We will have a unique selling point – they will be totally natural as the processes involved do not require the use of any solvents. We have also been working to develop some very unique and novel natural hop flavours that may well be lost under other processing routes. Finalisation of this part of our range is not expected until the New Year but these products will be very special - so watch this space!
